Humans of KHS

Humans of KHS is a spinoff of Humans of New York, an organization of photographers that take pictures of people on the streets of New York and get their story. All of these photos are taken by Kemener High School students. The purpose is to show and celebrate the diversity of the Kempner.

"One of my passions is definitely showing my relationship with Christ to the world and trying to spread the Gospel to everyone at Kempner as much as I can. Because I have seen the light and I know what it is. A desire of mine is to show people the truth and who Jesus is.”

- Laura Pepper, 11th Grade

“Mrs. Curry always has these tiny, funny, little jokes just to entertain people. The other day one of our students in art history has a really bad cough and she asked them if they were okay and they said “Yeah, I’m fine.” and she said “Yeah...must be Ebola.” It’s just little comments like that make her a really great teacher.”- Jessica Martinez, 11th Grade

"Don't take these four years as a joke. Compared to college, we're in kindergarden, and college is high school. We should start looking ahead to what college we might want to go to because senior year will be here faster than you can imagine and  then you'll just be asking youself ,"What do i really want to do or what college do I really want to go to..."-Cynthia Valdez, 10th Grade

"...I don't know..."-Jerlyn Pineda, 11th Grade
